Transportation
On-campus activities are always well-balanced with
community-based programs. With our private transportation
staff, we make regular trips to area shopping centers, art
and cultural events, restaurants and other entertaining
destinations. If you have personal plans for the day, but
want to leave the driving to someone else, we’ll provide
door-to-door transportation for doctor’s appointments,
shopping, church, banking, airport travel or whatever you
want to do.

Rehabilitation
Combining the resources of a variety of
specialists, each resident's physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual needs are addressed by some or all of the
following:
- Your personal
physician is welcome to stay actively involved in your
personal care, or will be informed of your progress.
- The physiatrist is a physician
specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He
or she directs your rehabilitation program.
- The rehabilitation nurse provides
individual nursing care and family teaching, reinforces
the skills learned in therapy and assists in discharge
planning.
- The occupational therapist helps you
gain independence in self-care skills including feeding,
dressing, bathing and homemaking.
- The physical therapist helps you
gain independence in mobility skills including getting
in and out of a bed and chair, walking or using a
wheelchair, and going up and down stairs.
- The speech/language pathologist
assists with listening, reading, speaking, writing and
thinking skills, and also provides therapy for
swallowing disorders.
- The therapeutic recreation
specialist helps with resuming leisure skills, community
reintegration and providing leisure resources.
- The social worker helps with
community resources, discharge planning and advanced
directives.
- The
rehabilitation psychologist cares for emotional needs
and assists in coping.
Additional services are
provided by dietitians, vocational counselors, home care
coordinators, financial counselors, chaplains and support
staff.
Our team of health care professionals, along with you and
your family, will develop a treatment plan to meet your
unique needs. Family members are an important part of our
team and are encouraged to participate in the rehab program.
